Argentina - Mar del Plata

Wieder in BA angekommen, mussten wir einen Bus nehmen, der uns dann in weiteren 5 Stunden nach Mar del Plata brachte - Natalie fuhr mit einem frueheren Bus voraus, um alles mit dem fuer eine Woche gemieteten Apartment zu regeln. Die Jungs kamen relativ spaet am Abend an, sahen dafuer noch den Kometen McNaught, der zu dieser Zeit ueber Suedamerika eine Lichtspur an den Himmel zeichnete!!

Back in BA, we had to take a bus which brought us to Mar del Plata in another 5h - Natalie was already there when the guys arrived as she had taken an earlier bus to take care of the apartment we had rented for a week. The guys arrived relatively late in Mar del Plata, but saw Comet McNaught on their way which was only discovered in 2006 and was at that time over South America!!

Der Rest unserer 5 Tage in Mar del Plata ist schnell erzaehlt... Jeden Tag an gut ge- bis ueberfuellten Straenden, jeden Abend einen Apero mit Weisswein und Crackers und jede Nacht in den Bars - Rimini/Mallorca hoch zwei!!

The rest of the story about our 5 days in Mar del Plata is short: Every day we enjoyed full beaches, every evening we had our pre-dinner drinks and every night we checked out different bars - Rimini/Mallorca times 2!!

Der Blick vom Balkon unseres Apartments im 10. Stock, das relativ alt und eher an der Grenze betreffend Sauberkeit war, aber nach ein paar Naechten auf durchgelegenen Matratzen hatten wir uns auch daran gewoehnt... Und die Lage mitten in der Stadt und nur wenige Meter vom Strand war unschlagbar!

It was rather old - and dirty - but after a few nights on mattresses that had been used at least for a couple of hundred years, we also got used to that... And the location in the middle of town and only a few feet away from the beach was unbeatable!

Und dann war da noch das Torneo de Verano und das Spiel River Plate gegen Boca Juniors im Stadion von Mar del Plata, das mit rund 30'000 Zuschauern relativ gut gefuellt war...

On one of our last evenings we went to watch the game River Plate vs. Boca Juniors which was part of the Torneo de Verano. The stadium in Mar del Plata was well filled with nearly 30,000 spectators...




River Plate won 2-0 in an interesting match!! - Two days later we flew to El Calafate in the South of Argentina - Patagonia where we went on a 3-day kayak trip on Rio Serrano - more to come soon...

River Plate gewann das prestigetraechtige Duell mit 2-0!! - 2 Tage spaeter flogen wir von Buenos Aires nach El Calafate, im Sueden Argentiniens, dh Patagonien wo wir auf einen 3-taegigen Kanutrip auf dem Rio Serrano gingen - mehr dazu kommt bald...
